After a surprising playoff run in 2013, the Kansas City Chiefs are off to a bad start in 2014. They're 0-2 after two weeks, and only four teams have a worse point differential. Sunday, they travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins in a 4:25 p.m. ET game, and the number of fantasy-relevant names in the game is small:
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 3: Chiefs vs. Dolphins
The Chiefs need to get started if their season is going to avoid being an abject disaster.

Chiefs
Start in every league: ...
Start if you're desperate: Jamaal Charles, Knile Davis, Travis Kelce
Bench: Alex Smith, Dwayne Bowe, Donnie Avery, Cairo Santos, Defense/special teams
They’re included in the “if you’re desperate” section because I don’t know which of Charles and Davis to use in fantasy as of when I’m writing this. Ultimately, though, you’re definitely starting one of them. If Charles plays, use him. If Charles sits, use Davis. Easy call. ... Kelce hasn’t exploded onto the scene like some projected, but he’s in a big group of tight ends who could be a low-end starter.
Smith doesn’t look at all like he’s going to recreate last season’s successes so far. Bench him. ... Neither Bowe nor Avery is anything but fantasy roster depth at this point, and they’re barely that. ... Santos has totaled eight fantasy points in two games; as long as the Chiefs struggle, their kicker will also. ... The Chiefs’ defense is obviously not startable, which is weird to say after last season.
Dolphins
Start in every league: ...
Start if you're desperate: Lamar Miller, Mike Wallace
Bench: Ryan Tannehill, Brian Hartline, Charles Clay, Caleb Sturgis, Defense/special teams
You like Miller now that he has the Dolphins’ rushing job to himself, but we all remember his struggles from last year; he’s a flex play. ... Wallace has had a nice start to the season. His stock is rising.
In two games, Tannehill has scored less than 13 fantasy points. ... Hartline and Clay haven’t even scored more than three. ... Sturgis had a nice Week 1, but his scoring fell off big time in Week 2. ... The Dolphins’ defense, even in its good game, didn’t reach double-digit fantasy points.
