Though Houston Texans running back Arian Foster was hampered by a hamstring injury in practice all week, he is expected to play versus the New York Giants on Sunday.
Arian Foster injury update: Texans RB should be good to go for fantasy owners
The Houston Texans’ bell-cow has been dealing with a hamstring injury again. We break down the fantasy implications.

Foster participated in every practice, albeit at a limited capacity. It’s something of a red flag to his observers, who are familiar with him having hamstring ailments throughout his career. Despite that, Foster is in no real danger of missing immediate time, although it is something that should be monitored over the course of the season.
Fantasy Spin: We could see a decrease in Foster’s massive usage, as he has 59 touches in two games so far in 2014. But a decrease from that doesn’t mean he won’t still be used substantially in Bill O’Brien’s offense. Though the hamstring injury is not what fantasy owners want to hear, Foster should still be in the RB1 conversation versus a hapless Giants defense.
In the meantime, Foster should be a staple in fantasy lineups once again, and owners can pick up Alfred Blue as a handcuff just to be safe.
