New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker did not practice all week due to a hamstring injury, although Head Coach Rex Ryan remains optimistic that he will play Monday night versus the Chicago Bears.
Eric Decker injury update: fantasy owners must have backup plan in place for Jets WR
New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker sat out practice for the entire week due to a hamstring injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

It’s not known if Ryan’s optimism, as reported by ESPN, is warranted especially since Decker has yet to take the field since his injury. The Jets are razor thin at the receiver position aside from him, so it can be assumed that they will do whatever it takes to dress him, within reason.
Fantasy Spin: With the Jets having a Monday-night time slot, fantasy owners have to be advised to look elsewhere for a WR3. It's too risky to plug Decker into lineups given that he has yet to practice, and it's not worth the gamble. Increased targets could be in store for Jeremy Kerley and tight end Jace Amaro, although there isn't much reason to assume much would come of those at this point.
