Oakland Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew will not play in Week 2 against the New England Patriots. He had a hand procedure last week and did not play in Week 2 against the Houston Texans.
Darren McFadden gets another chance for fantasy owners with Maurice Jones-Drew out
Maurice Jones-Drew is out again. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Raiders are in deep trouble this week. They're missing two of their linebackers on defense and are traveling to Foxboro in what figures to be a rout. Darren McFadden will get the start and look to rebound from his 12-carry, 37-yard day against the Texans last week. Although, he did score and caught two passes for 31 yards.
McFadden’s contributions to the passing game will be essential to his success today. According to the Las Vegas sports books, the team is expected to lose by two touchdowns, so there won’t be a lot of carries for him in the second half.
Fantasy impact: The Patriots haven’t been stellar on defense, so McFadden does have a decent opportunity here. He should get his 15-plus carries and it could result in a fine fantasy day. Unless you have a strong option, he’s a fine RB2 this week, especially in a PPR format.
