New England Patriots receiver Aaron Dobson is inactive against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Receiver Kenbrell Thompkins is active.
Aaron Dobson is inactive and loses fantasy value; Kenbrell Thompkins will play
Aaron Dobson is out and Kenbrell Thompkins is in for the Patriots at receiver. We break down the fantasy implications.

It's been a flip-flop move for the Patriots with their "X" receiver. They sat Dobson in Week 1, sat Thompkins in Week 2, and now they're back to sitting Dobson again. The team doesn't really need either guy with Julian Edelman building off his breakout 2013 season and tight end Rob Gronkowski getting healthy.
The Patriots are also expected to run all over the depleted Raiders defense. They are missing multiple linebackers and should use a heavy dose of Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley.
Fantasy impact: It was fun to monitor Dobson as a sleeper, but two healthy scratches this season should be all you need to know about his status as an asset. Fantasy owners can just throw him on the wire in almost any league. If he busts out, we’ll let you know when he’s worth a look again.
