New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had the team's lone touchdown Sunday. Gronkowski narrowly missed a second touchdown in the 16-9 win over the Oakland Raiders.
Rob Gronkowski finds end zone for Patriots, fantasy owners
The tight end’s value has been entirely in touchdowns through three weeks. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gronkowski caught three passes for 44 yards in the game, including a 6-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He had a near touchdown bounce off his fingers in the end zone later in the game.
Fantasy impact: Through three games, Gronkowski has only 11 catches and 116 yards. He now has two touchdowns, salvaging his fantasy value, but his owners had to have expected more yardage out of three healthy games for the tight end.
Tim Wright, the tight end acquired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just before season started, has only four catches and 35 yards through three games, so he hasn't developed into the running mate some fantasy owners envisioned.
As long as Gronkowski is healthy, fantasy owners are using him. If he can continue with the touchdowns, he’ll definitely be worth it, but his yardage just isn’t adding up.
