Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart sustained a knee injury on Sunday night, but it's not "believed to be serious," according to David Newton of ESPN. Both Stewart and fullback Mike Tolbert left the game against the Steelers on Sunday and didn't return.
Jonathan Stewart’s injury not believed to be serious; fantasy value depends on DeAngelo Williams
Jonathan Stewart left Sunday’s game against the Steelers, but the knee injury isn’t believed to be serious.

Given the fact that Stewart was starting in place of DeAngelo Williams, who was inactive with a hamstring injury, the Panthers are barely getting by at the position.
Even the third-stringer, Fozzy Whittaker, missed the game with a quad injury. Darrin Reaves, a player signed from the practice squad, finished the game at the running back position. Williams seems like he's close to returning, which is good news, but it sounds like Stewart will be ready for any workload that he has to shoulder at this point.
Fantasy Impact: Stewart and Williams have long exchanged the starting role in Carolina, due to hot streaks or injury, so hearing that this injury isn’t particularly serious is definitely a good sign. Fantasy owners should always have both and should concentrate on whether or not Williams will be back this week, rather than worry about Stewart.
