The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are "confident" that running back Doug Martin will return from his injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4, according to Rotoworld. Martin is dealing with a knee injury and missed Thursday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, giving Bobby Rainey the start. This was a week after Rainey looked fantastic against the St. Louis Rams, putting up 144 yards on 22 carries.

Rainey carried the ball 11 times for 41 yards, which isn’t so bad given the fact that the Buccaneers were immediately behind on the scoreboard (and drastically). But Rainey accounted for two of the team’s five fumbles, four of which were lost. Both of Rainey’s fumbles were lost, so the fact that he added 64 yards in the passing game really doesn’t help his case.
Fantasy Impact: Martin hasn’t had much of an opportunity to do anything this season. He saw limited carries in the season opener and then missed two games due to injury. He’d been recommended as a RB1 for much of the offseason and it’s not too difficult to stick to that recommendation, but it’s a fair question to ask whether or not he’s going to be 100 percent for Week 4. Whatever the case, fantasy owners should keep an eye on the injury report this week.
