Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill could be in danger of losing his starting job. Head coach Joe Philbin neglected to confirm that Tannehill is the starter going forward, saying that the Dolphins will choose the "46 best players" to help them win a game, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
Joe Philbin neglects to name Ryan Tannehill starter going forward; fantasy value slipping
Ryan Tannehill is the starting quarterback for the Dolphins ... for now. Joe Philbin neglected to confirm that he would start the next game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Tannehill is the team's franchise quarterback, but he's off to an awful start to the season. He has a strong offensive weapon in receiver Mike Wallace and running support in the form of Knowshon Moreno and Lamar Miller, but his stats have been poor thus far. He's completed 70 of 124 passes (56.5 percent) for 624 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions.
He's averaging just 5.03 yards per throw attempt. But it's still surprising to see the Dolphins making it this clear that his job is in danger, especially given that Matt Moore is the guy behind him.
Fantasy Impact: Obviously, fantasy owners expect more out of Tannehill than what he’s provided. This makes it clear the Dolphins do as well. At this point, he’s a risk to be benched, but probably not until he starts another game and fails spectacularly. For now he’s safe, and a solid candidate to bounce back, but Moore is probably worth a look for those desperate enough.
