Houston Texans running back Arian Foster described himself as "day to day" with a hamstring injury, according to Drew Dougherty of the team website. It's not surprising, given the nature of hamstring injuries. If players come back too quickly from them then re-injury is incredibly likely, and determining when a player is ready usually occurs when he decides he can run on a given day.
Arian Foster calls himself ‘day to day,’ Alfred Blue should remain fantasy handcuff
Arian Foster says he’s “day-to-day” with a hamstring injury, which means Alfred Blue could get another start. We break down the fantasy implications.

Foster has been solid so far this season. He carried the ball 27 times for 103 yards in the opener, and 28 times for 138 yards and a touchdown against the Oakland Raiders in Week 2. His carry count is pretty high for a player with his injury history, and sure enough, he wound up missing the team's Week 3 game against the New York Giants.
Fantasy Impact: Alfred Blue filled in for Foster and actually played well, carrying the ball 13 times for 78 yards. If the Texans weren't behind for much of the game, Blue might have had more touches and been a bigger fantasy weapon. Foster doesn't sound too enthusiastic about his chances of playing in Week 4, though he's not the most vocal player out there to begin with. Fantasy owners should keep Blue as a handcuff and be prepared to start him in Week 4, for now.
