Oakland Raiders quarterback Matt Schaub (personal) will not accompany the team to England to backup Derek Carr when the team takes on the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, according to Scott Blair. Matt McGloin will act as the second-in-command in Schaub's absence.
Matt Schaub leaves Raiders for family reasons, unavailable for fantasy owners in Week 4
The Raiders’ backup quarterback has family matters to attend to and will not be available in Week 4. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Schaub is stepping away from the team because his wife had to have an emergency C-section in delivering the couple’s baby. Considering the Raiders have to travel across the Atlantic Ocean this week, it makes perfect sense that the team is letting him stay behind.
For what it’s worth, Carr has a lock on the Raiders’ starting job anyway. Although he’s not exactly blowing the NFL out of the water, Oakland is rebuilding and is going to give Carr every opportunity to learn this year. Schaub had a chance to win the starting job in the preseason, but Carr flat-out out-played him.
Fantasy owners probably don’t own Schaub at this point in the season, but those that may have him as a backup in deep leagues should note that he’s worth dropping if there’s a more valuable free agent available on the waiver wire this week.
