Baltimore Ravens running back Bernard Pierce (thigh) returned to practice on Wednesday and is expected to start in the team's Week 4 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, according to Jeff Zrebiec. Through two games this season, Pierce is averaging a steady four yards per carry but has yet to find the end zone.
Bernard Pierce practices Wednesday, expected to start for fantasy owners in Week 4
The Ravens running back was able to practice on Wednesday after sitting out in Week 3. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Lorenzo Taliaferro was used as the primary running back for the Ravens last week. He rushed the ball 18 times for 91 yards and a touchdown in a winning effort over the Cleveland Browns. Head coach John Harbaugh praised the rookie after the game.
The move was a surprise since Justin Forsett was limited to 11 carries even though he ran for 63 yards on those touches. As it shakes out right now, Pierce is still expected to re-assume his role as the feature back if he does indeed return this week.
Fantasy owners are advised to explore other options this week since Pierce will probably play at less than 100 percent, which limits his potential output against a stout Panthers defense.
