The Tampa Bay Buccaneers appear ready to go with quarterback Mike Glennon as the starter. Speaking after practice Wednesday, head coach Lovie Smith said there is a "good chance" Glennon will take the reigns against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mike Glennon expected to start Week 4, has low fantasy appeal
Josh McCown’s thumb is expected to keep him out this week, giving Glennon the start. We break down the fantasy implications.

Josh McCown injured his thumb in Week 3 and did not practice Wednesday. He was later spotted on the sidelines with his throwing hand heavily wrapped up. Glennon took over in the blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons, throwing for 121 yards and a touchdown in garbage time. He played in 13 games as a rookie last year, passing for 2,608 yards, 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Fantasy impact: Smith was already facing pressure to bench McCown, who looked miserable in the first three games. His injury gives the Bucs a convenient way to see if Glennon can get the offense going. Glennon was a low-end QB2 during 2013 and will likely do the same this week, although Pittsburgh’s defense is ripe for the picking. He’s worth a waiver add in 14-and-up team leagues, but you should only start him if you’re in a bye-week crunch.
