San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis returned to practice on Wednesday and is on track to make his return in Week 4. It's his first practice session since suffering an ankle injury in Week 2.
Vernon Davis returns to practice, back on the fantasy radar
Vernon Davis was back at practice on Wednesday and should be ready for Week 4. We break down the fantasy implications.

Davis was forced out of that game against the Chicago Bears with a sprained ankle. He was on crutches for most of the week and sat out for the Week 3 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Davis had seven catches for 83 yards and two touchdowns in two games before going down with the injury.
Fantasy impact: If there are no setbacks, Davis will be ready to suit up against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The 49ers could badly use his presence after sinking to 1-2 on the season. With Colin Kaepernick getting his security blanket back, look for Davis to return to prominent TE1 status even if he's on a snap count. Check the practice reports again on Thursday and Friday before penciling him back into your lineups.
