Detroit Lions tight end Joseph Fauria was on crutches at practice on Friday and is not expected to play against the New York Jets in Week 4. He suffered his ankle injury in what coach Jim Caldwell is calling an "innocent" accident on Wednesday night in Fauria's home.
Eric Ebron could be a deep fantasy play with Joseph Fauria likely out
Joseph Fauria is unlikely to play on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

With Fauria out, rookie tight end Eric Ebron will be looking at his largest role of his career. He only has three catches for 38 yards on his eight targets on the year, but all three catches have gone for first downs. He was a beast at North Carolina and the Lions invested a top-10 pick on him, so they definitely have high hopes for him.
The Jets have a very weak secondary and their linebackers aren't great at covering tight ends, either. They just allowed Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett to score twice in Week 3, so the opportunity is there.
Fantasy impact: This is obviously desperation territory here, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Ebron put up five catches in the road game. He’s a low-end TE2.
