If the early-season trend holds, San Diego will do well Sunday, simply by virtue of playing the woeful Jaguars.

Bench: Blake Bortles, Toby Gerhart, Allen Hurns, Allen Robinson, Josh Scobee, Defense/special teams
I put Shorts in the “desperate” category mostly as a charity moment for Jacksonville; I rank him 31st among receivers this week. You probably have better options.
Bortles took over for Chad Henne a week ago and will get the start again in Week 4. He put up decent numbers in part of a game, but his action came after the game was long decided, so we'll see how he does when things are more hotly contested. ... Gerhart has been terrible in his first chance as a full-time starter, and we might be seeing Denard Robinson and/or Jordan Todman get more looks. ... Hurns and Robinson have looked decent, and their stock is rising, but with Shorts back they aren't worth enough yet. ... Scobee and the Jaguars' defense are just so far down the usability list.
Chargers
Start in every league: Philip Rivers, Donald Brown, Keenan Allen, Antonio Gates, Nick Novak, Defense/special teams

Bench: Malcom Floyd, Eddie Royal, Ladarius Green
Here's where it should get fun for the Chargers, playing against Jacksonville. Rivers was a great fantasy option against Seattle; against Jacksonville, things should be good. ... Brown, with Ryan Mathews and Danny Woodhead both out, is easily in starting territory among running backs. ... Allen has had a really slow start to the season, but he's still the best wide receiver San Diego has. Stay on him. ... Gates had a no-show in Week 3, but he's still near the back end of TE1's. ... Scoring chances should be plentiful, so Novak should get kicking opportunities. ... Every defense that has faced Jacksonville has done well; the Chargers' defense plays Jacksonville.
Floyd has had two decent games out of three, but he’s very big-play dependent. His stock is rising, but not into starting territory yet. ... We’ve been through this before on Royal. He’ll occasionally score touchdowns, and you won’t be able to guess when they are coming. ... Green is still well behind Gates in the pecking order.
