Fantasy football projections, Week 4: Dolphins vs. Raiders featuring Lamar Miller, Ryan Tannehill, James Jones
We break down the Week 4 matchup between the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders.

Miami Dolphins
It has been a difficult week for Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, at least if you listen to the media reports. Head coach Joe Philbin wouldn't publicly commit to starting Tannehill against the Oakland Raiders this week, yet Tannehill took all the first-team snaps in practice. If actions speak louder than words, Tannehill will indeed start against the Raiders. That said, he has struggled this season. Last week, he threw for just 205 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Trouble in the passing game usually means the team's running back is about to see more action, and considering Lamar Miller had an outstanding game against the Chiefs last week and teammate Knowshon Moreno (elbow) is still out, Miller's prospects this week look good. Miller averaged 7.2 yards per carry on 15 attempts in Week 3, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him get over 20 touches against the Raiders this Sunday, a team that's given up the ninth-most fantasy points to running backs so far this season.
Oakland Raiders
With three interceptions and only one touchdown over his last two games, it's safe to say that rookie quarterback Derek Carr still has to work out some kinks in his game. In this week's matchup against the Dolphins, he'll be competing against a defense that has given up the ninth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. With wide receiver Rod Streater (foot) out 4-to-5 weeks and the Raiders' running game proving largely ineffective so far, Carr will have to look to the likes of Marcel Reece, Andre Holmes, Denarius Moore and James Jones in the passing game if the Raiders hope to have any chance of coming out with a victory on Sunday.
Jones has been the team’s best receiver by far this season, which makes it all the more puzzling as to why he saw fewer targets than Reece and Holmes last week. Perhaps it was because the team’s rookie quarterback was afraid to throw the ball into tight coverage. Regardless of the quarterback’s hesitation, Jones will need to be more involved this week if the Raiders are to claim their first win of the season. Fantasy owners should note the Dolphins have really limited the number of fantasy points allowed to wide receivers this year. They rank second in the NFL in that category.
