San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is expected to be a game-time decision for Sunday's game versus the Philadelphia Eagles.
Vernon Davis fantasy football injury update: TE’s status uncertain for Sunday, fantasy owners must adjust
The San Francisco 49ers may have to plan on not using their star tight end for a second straight week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Davis' ankle injury kept him out of action versus the Arizona Cardinals, but the speedy tight end returned to practice this week after resting. Though he participated in all three days of practice, Davis did so at a limited capacity.
Fantasy Spin: It was at least clear for his fantasy owners in Week 3 that Davis wouldn’t play, but all bets are off at the moment. With the 49ers playing a 4:25 p.m. ET game and with six teams on bye, there are fewer choices than usual at fantasy’s thinnest position.
Hopefully, Davis owners will still have a backup option available since those plans had to be made already. The safe bet would be to keep him on the bench, even versus a defense that’s given up big play after big play this season.
