Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin is active against the Pittsburgh Steelers, reported ESPN Insider Adam Caplan. Martin missed last week due to a lingering knee injury.
Doug Martin back on the field for fantasy owners Sunday
Doug Martin is officially active Sunday afternoon. We break down the fantasy implications.

With Martin active, Bobby Rainey will return to the bench and continue splitting carries with the rest of the Buccaneers' backfield.
Fantasy Impact: Now that his status is official, it’s safe to remove Rainey from your lineup until either he or Martin takes advantage of the opportunity. The Steelers are dealing with numerous injuries, but it’s a toss up as to which Tampa running back actually produces. Martin will most likely start the game, but there’s a good chance he doesn’t finish.
Your best bet is to hope Martin has a monster game and, in turn, sell high, or cross your fingers Rainey finally steals the starting job. Until one of those options actually occurs, you should avoid the Buccaneers backfield at all cost.
