A week after missing a game with a hamstring issue, Houston Texans running back Arian Foster was active Sunday, though he pretty clearly ran at less than full speed. The running back had only eight carries in the team's 23-17 win over the Buffalo Bills.
Arian Foster quiet for Texans, fantasy owners
The Houston running back was clearly at less than full strength Sunday, limiting his yardage potential. We break down the fantasy implications.

Foster had eight carries in the game for only 6 yards, but he did offer 55 receiving yards on seven catches and 10 targets, keeping his value somewhat up. Alfred Blue, Foster's backup who offered decent value in Week 3, filled in some for Foster, but didn't do much -- 9 rushing yards on nine carries, and 16 receiving yards on two catches.
Fantasy impact: The fact that Foster was so involved in the passing game means you can’t put all the blame for his quiet rushing day on his injury, but it was definitely a factor. The above-average Buffalo run defense accounted for much of it as well.
With Foster having another week to get his hamstring better, and with what appears to be a friendly matchup in Week 5 against Dallas, he remains a must-start fantasy option. Meanwhile, the healthier Foster gets, the less relevant Blue is as anything but a handcuff.
