Jerick McKinnon steps into fantasy spotlight in Week 4
The Vikings rookie running back finally broke out in Week 4. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Minnesota Vikings have discussed giving McKinnon more touches in recent weeks, but they finally lived up to that promise on Sunday. The rookie running back out of Georgia Southern surely earned a larger role in their offense going forward.
Fantasy impact: Twitter has been clamoring to see more of McKinnon in the Vikings run game for weeks now. He’s clearly the superior runner to Matt Asiata. McKinnon is one of the few playmakers on Minnesota’s roster right now, and considering Cordarrelle Patterson isn’t standing out through four weeks, it makes sense the Vikings would utilize a breakout player.
Next week the Vikings take on the Green Bay Packers, one of the worst defenses against the run in 2014. McKinnon is still the backup to Asiata, but we have every reason to believe he’ll step into an increased workload for Week 5.
