Trent Richardson led the Indianapolis Colts’ backfield with 47 yards rushing in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans. He took 20 carries and scored his first touchdown on 2014 on a 1-yard run at the goal line in the first quarter.
Trent Richardson outscores Ahmad Bradshaw in fantasy for Week 4
The Colts didn’t do much damage on the ground against the Titans. We break down the fantasy implications.
Ahmad Bradshaw finished with 32 yards rushing on nine carries. He caught two passes for 20 yards and his fourth receiving touchdown of the season. Richardson hauled in four receptions for 52 yards on Sunday.
Fantasy impact: The Colts gave a heavy workload to Richardson in a game that wasn’t close at all in the second half. It still didn’t make that much of a difference. Richardson averaged a paltry 2.4 yards per carry. His receiving skills add extra value to his stock, but he’s just not making it happen on the ground. His touchdown carry was basically a gift.
The Colts appear to be limiting Bradshaw when they don’t really need him much. There was no reason to keep feeding him touches when they had a huge lead, giving Bradshaw’s age and injury history. He’ll still be a worthy flex play in the coming weeks.
