The New Orleans Saints couldn’t get the ball moving regularly Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys, leaving their receivers to struggle with disappointing stat lines by the end. Marques Colston caught five passes for 50 yards, and Brandin Cooks hauled in five passes for 31 yards.
Marques Colston, Brandin Cooks struggle in fantasy in Week 4
The Saints receiving corps struggled to get things going Sunday night against the Cowboys. We break down the fantasy implications.

Colston was targeted 10 times, second-most behind Jimmy Graham. Cooks saw six targets on the night.
Fantasy impact: There are too many mouths to feed in the Saints offense, so when they don’t play well, we’re going to see a lot of volatility. Graham will always be the most reliable fantasy option. Colston saw plenty of targets, but Cooks is still the one of pace to finish the season with 92 catches.
If you’re looking for a flex play every week, Cooks seems like a better bet. His usage will vary each week, but he’s more explosive than Colston. As for the veteran, Colston is a WR3 with a WR2 ceiling when Brees can get with him on the same page.
