Cecil Shorts aggravated a hamstring injury; fantasy status unclear
Cecil Shorts aggravated a hamstring injury on Sunday, and will undergo tests on Monday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shorts will need to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, but it’s definitely not good news either way. Hamstring injuries are notorious for being difficult if a player comes back too early and it seems like that’s the case with Shorts. There’s a high percentage of re-injury for hamstrings. Shorts missed most of training camp and the first two regular season games with a hamstring injury.
Fantasy Impact: The Jaguars saw a lot of good things from Bortles, but Shorts was barely back long enough to benefit from it. The rookie QB is going to find his receivers -- at least that’s what we’ve seen thus far -- and Shorts won’t be one of them, for now. We need to wait and see how severe this injury is, but given that this is a recurring problem, it seems likely he’ll need to miss some time.
