Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is expected to play on Monday against the New England Patriots. Charles is dealing with a high ankle sprain that was originally expected to keep him out for multiple weeks. He wound up returning to practice shortly after sustaining the injury however, and after practicing all week, he's listed as probable on the official injury report for Monday's game.
Jamaal Charles expected to play Monday; solid fantasy value
Jamaal Charles is expected to play on Monday and is listed as probable on the injury report. We break down the fantasy implications.

Charles did miss the team's Week 3 game against the Miami Dolphins, but was reportedly close to playing in that one. He has just nine carries for 23 yards on the season, but is still Kansas City's best player on offense and his pending return would be a big boost for the Chiefs, especially in a tough matchup against the Patriots.
Fantasy Impact: It's worth noting, though, that Charles' backup, Knile Davis, had a huge game in his absence. Davis carried the ball 32 times for 132 yards and a touchdown in relief. This likely means he'll take some carries away from Charles, who is possibly not 100 percent recovered from the aforementioned high ankle sprain. But fantasy owners can probably start Charles over Davis at this point.
