Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was at team practice on Monday, but he was not throwing, according to Darren Urban of the team website. The other quarterbacks were throwing, so it sounds like Palmer was giving his shoulder injury a rest. Palmer was throwing last week, albeit in a limited fashion, so it's unclear if he's suffered some kind of setback.
Carson Palmer not throwing Monday; fantasy status still unclear
Carson Palmer didn’t throw at practice on Monday and is still dealing with a shoulder injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Palmer's shoulder injury is frustrating for him because there's no telling when it will be back to 100 percent. He's got nerve pain, and his arm strength has to be significantly diminished due to said pain. Palmer has played in just one game, the opener against the San Diego Chargers. He completed 24 of 37 passes for 304 yards and two touchdowns in that game, an 18-17 win.
Fantasy Impact: The Cardinals are actually doing pretty well without Palmer, with wins over the New York Giants in Week 2 and the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3. But Palmer has a lot more potential to put up big numbers at the end of the day, and fantasy owners will want him back in the lineup. Palmer has stated that he's ready to go for Week 5 against the Denver Broncos, but what he does over the next couple days in practice will be telling.
