Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace struggled in his first season with the team, though he looked much better down the stretch than he did to start the year. Wallace's beginnings in Miami were rocky at best, and there was consistent talk of him being an unreliable target while he simultaneously complained about not getting the ball thrown his way often enough.
Mike Wallace to face Darrelle Revis in Week 1; fantasy value still decent
Mike Wallace has a tough matchup in Week 1: Darrelle Revis. We break down the fantasy implications.

But his play down the stretch has many excited for what he can do with quarterback Ryan Tannehill in 2014. He's being drafted relatively high in fantasy football and should be Miami's top target in 2014. Unfortunately, that means he'll be seeing the best of the best when it comes to NFL cornerbacks, and he has as rough an outing as any in Week 1: Darrelle Revis.
Wallace will have to go toe-to-toe with Revis, famous for following one receiver around the field and completely taking him out of the game when healthy. Revis hasn’t been healthy in recent seasons, but he says he’s 100 percent at this point, and Wallace says it will be “an exciting matchup,” as noted by Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald.
Fantasy Impact: Wallace may wind up having a solid season, but him ending up without a catch after Week 1 wouldn’t be the most surprising thing to happen. A healthy Revis is a scary proposition, and Wallace fantasy owners hopefully have some other options at the receiver position. If Wallace is your No. 1, you should start him because that’s what you do with No. 1 players. But don’t be surprised if Revis blankets him effectively.
