Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert expects to play in Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to Coley Harvey of ESPN. Eifert sustained a shoulder injury early in the preseason and was forced to miss the final three preseason games. The injury actually had been bothering him for much of the offseason program, and it didn't fare any better in the preseason opener.
Tyler Eifert expects to play Sunday; has middling fantasy value
Tyler Eifert has sufficiently recovered from a shoulder injury enough to play in Sunday’s season opener. We break down the fantasy implications.

Eifert was a first-round pick in 2013, but failed to impress in his rookie season. He played in 15 games and caught 39 passes for 445 yards with two touchdowns. He wasn’t the featured tight end in the offense so thus numbers aren’t too bad, but they’re not particularly impressive given his pedigree, either.
Fantasy Impact: Many were asking whether or not Eifert could break out this year, but the limited work throughout training camp and the preseason has hurt his chances significantly. The only thing going for Eifert now is that he appears to be healthy and Marvin Jones will miss some games due to injury.
That could open the door to Eifert getting more looks, but odds are fantasy owners have better options available at the tight end position. Still, he might not be a bad option for the potential that he puts together a couple good games and earns some real playing time down the line.
