Michael is battling a hamstring injury and will not be active for Seattle’s season opener on Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Michael suffered the injury late in training camp and missed the preseason finale. On Monday, head coach Pete Carroll admitted that the second-year back was "banged up" and might not be available this week. The Seahawks will go with Robert Turbin as the sole backup behind Marshawn Lynch. Michael saw limited action in his rookie year, being active for just three games.
Fantasy impact: Turbin had already won the No. 2 job even before Michael’s injury. Unless injury strikes the depth chart, he looks to be another fantasy afterthought in 2014. Michael has special talent as a runner, but still needs to work on his ball security and pass protection to earn a real role in Seattle’s backfield. Dynasty owners can keep holding him for another year or so. Turbin is the handcuff to own for Lynch owners.
