Jones spent the previous seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers. His best year came in 2012 when he caught 14 touchdown passes. That number dropped to three last year, but Jones still had a respectable stat line with 59 catches for 814 yards in 14 games.
Fantasy impact: With rookie Derek Carr winning the starting quarterback job, Jones might see a small boost as a steady veteran hand, but it seems clear he won't be a true WR1 in Oakland's offense. This story could be taken as a vote of confidence for Rod Streater and Denarius Moore, but neither looks like an appealing week-to-week fantasy option. If anything, look for Maurice Jones-Drew and Darren McFadden to carry the rock as Carr gets eased into the NFL. The Raiders' passing offense is looking like a fantasy quagmire unless Carr hits the ground running.
