Jaguars receiver Cecil Shorts III (hamstring) did not practice on Friday and only took part in a walkthrough. He was limited in practice on Thursday and is likely going to be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Cecil Shorts still not 100 percent for fantasy in Week 1
Cecil Shorts didn’t practice on Friday. We break down the fantasy implications.

It's never a good thing to see a player get downgraded on Friday, so Shorts has a decent chance of missing the opener. His hamstring has been a problem for over a month since suffering the Grade 2 strain back on July 25. Shorts may see limited snaps on Sunday in the opener, which means Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns could get a few more snaps.
He has dealt with multiple hamstring strains in his career and this may be a lingering issue for him throughout the season. It’s probably safe to assume he’ll be on the injury report for the next month or so.
Fantasy impact: There is really no way fantasy owners can throw Shorts into their lineups this week. Yes, he’s facing a nice matchup, but the fear of another aggravation makes him too risky. Meanwhile, fantasy owners should give strong consideration to adding rookie Marqise Lee.
