Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Lance Moore (groin) will not play in the team's season opening game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, according to Pro Football Talk. Justin Brown will play the slot receiver position in Moore's absence.
Lance Moore out for Week 1, fantasy football benching is a given
The Steelers receiver will not play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Moore is 30 years old entering his ninth season in the NFL and his first with the Steelers. While he benefited from a potent offense in New Orleans the last eight years, his role in Pittsburgh will likely be limited.
Moore is currently listed as the team's third wide receiver behind Antonio Brown and Markus Wheaton, so when he's healthy he'll get targeted.
That said, he'll have Ben Roethlisberger throwing him the ball instead of Drew Brees, and the Steelers run the ball a lot more than the Saints, so his numbers will reflect that at the end of the season.
Fantasy owners probably didn’t draft him to begin with as Moore is more of a waiver wire addition these days when he’s healthy. He’s officially out for Week 1 and should be on the bench this Sunday.
