If you were able to draft Peyton Manning or Drew Brees, you probably do not find yourself on this page. When you get one of the big-name quarterbacks, you simply plug him in and ride him out. However, if you did not get in early on the quarterbacks, you might find yourself with questions. And if you are in a particularly deep league, you need to consider all your options. Upside is the way to go, so here are a few under-the-radar quarterbacks who could have big games as your 2014 fantasy football season gets going.
Fantasy football sleepers: Week 1 quarterbacks
We break down under-the-radar quarterbacks who could win fantasy matchups for Week 1.

While Carson Palmer is unlikely to put up monster numbers these days, he has turned into a solid option at quarterback. He struggled down the stretch last season, but he faces a San Diego Chargers team that had the worst defense in the league last year. Palmer will need to stay on his feet behind a questionable Cardinals line, but there are points to be had on Monday.
This is throwing a bit of a Hail Mary right out of the gate, but Hoyer is facing a Steelers defense that was, at best, fairly average last year. Hoyer had two big games last year before injury ended his season. Odds are not exactly in his favor, but if you are in a particularly deep league maybe you give him a try.
I don't know if sleeper is the right word, but Colin Kaepernick has a juicy matchup in Week 1. He faces a Dallas Cowboys team that could field one of the worst defenses in recent memory. I am starting Kap over Tom Brady because of that matchup. Brady has the higher floor, but the ceiling in this game for Kap is as high as anybody playing this week.
