New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen is set up for a monster fantasy season -- as long as he stays healthy. He starts off his 2014 campaign against the Miami Dolphins and should have a lot on his plate as a runner and especially as a pass catcher.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 1: Shane Vereen has awesome value vs. Dolphins
Fantasy owners shouldn’t hesitate to plug Shane Vereen into their lineups.

He started out his 2013 season with a 101-yard rushing performance to go with seven catches for 58 yards and looked great while he was out there, and also in the preseason. However, a wrist injury cut his 2013 season down, and he also has multiple concussion issues from his time at the University of California.
Vereen has been used all over the field and he is expected to be the primary ball carrier. There was even talk of Stevan Ridley being cut from the 53-man roster while rookie James White hasn't been all that impressive in training camp.
Fantasy impact: If you had the guts to draft him, there is really no way Vereen should be on your bench. The Dolphins have a vulnerable defense and New England shouldn't have a problem moving the ball. What's more, tight end Rob Gronkowski isn't 100 percent, which opens up more targets in the passing game. He's a solid RB1 in PPR formats and a very strong RB2 in standard leagues.
