Editor’s update: Gronk has been declared ACTIVE.
Rob Gronkowski active, cleared for limited work for fantasy owners
After an unsettling week of injury concerns, Rob Gronkowski is officially slated to play on “a limited basis.” We break down the fantasy implications.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will be in the lineup when his team takes the field against Miami, according to Mike Florio. Hindered by a lingering back injury throughout the preseason, Gronk's status remained uncertain for weeks. But it now appears he'll see playing time, if only on a limited basis. Either way, this is great news for New England, who had to endure Gronk missing nine games just last year.
Fantasy Impact: Try and contain your excitement. After all, it's still considered a limited basis. Nevertheless, Gronk has arrived and is slated to make an impact against the Dolphins. It's also a relief going forward, as his injury history is one of note. Still, in his first game back last year after several offseason surgeries, the Patriots tight end had eight receptions for 114 yards, all while playing only 35-of-68 snaps. Unless you have another top-tier tight end, you're starting him with confidence.
