Buffalo Bills receiver Sammy Watkins (ribs) will play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The rookie will make his NFL debut after being limited in practice and suffering two rib injuries during the preseason.
Sammy Watkins will make his fantasy debut vs. Bears
Sammy Watkins is good to go vs. the Bears. We break down the fantasy implications.

He was selected with the fourth pick in the 2014 draft and the Bills certainly have high hopes for him after giving up the farm to trade up and get him. However, their offense has looked horrific in the preseason and quarterback E.J. Manuel is already on the hot seat. The Clemson product put on a string of highlight-reel catches at practice, but it didn't translate to production on the field in preseason games. The Bills will likely lean on the run to set up the pass, which could lead to some deep balls to the speedster.
Fantasy impact: Rookie receivers don’t often start fast and this isn’t a great matchup for Watkins, especially with the lack of chemistry on offense right now. Fantasy owners will want to temper expectations and shouldn’t consider Watkins anything more than a FLEX or WR3 in a deeper league.
