Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph only had two catches and 16 yards Sunday, but he made the most of his second catch, taking it for a fourth-quarter touchdown. The effort came in the Vikings' 34-6 blowout win over the St. Louis Rams to open the season.
Kyle Rudolph finds end zone for Vikings, fantasy owners
The Minnesota tight end didn’t offer much yardage, but his touchdown salvaged his fantasy day. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rudolph had a 9-yard reception in the second quarter, then grabbed the 7-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. He was only targeted two other times in the game.
Fantasy impact: It was a good thing Rudolph managed to find the end zone late, because without the score, he would have been in line to be one of the week's bigger disappointments. The offense ran primarily through Cordarrelle Patterson, Adrian Peterson and Greg Jennings in the game, and without much need to focus on the pass game, Rudolph didn't get a lot of looks.
Rudolph got a lot of sleeper acclaim entering the season as the tight end in a Norv Turner offense -- the same coach who made studs out of Antonio Gates and Jordan Cameron in the past. He'll need to offer more yards going forward to meet that sleeper status.
