Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III was a huge question mark entering the season. An injury-plagued 2013 and an unproductive preseason led to wonders about whether backup Kirk Cousins would be a better choice in D.C.
Robert Griffin III doesn’t score, but offers efficiency for Washington, fantasy owners
The Washington quarterback completed 78 percent of his passes, but with no touchdowns or interceptions, his day was overall unspectacular. We break down the fantasy implications.

Griffin didn't exactly silence those doubters Sunday, but he was very efficient in his passing, completing 29 of 37 passes (78 percent) for 267 yards in the game. He didn't find the end zone with his arm or his feet in Washington's 17-6 loss to the Houston Texans, and he did lose a fumble, but he didn't throw any interceptions.
Fantasy impact: His performance was good for only eight fantasy points, which isn’t reassuring, but that completion percentage at least points to some good things. Griffin will need to show more going forward, but it’s at least not a devastating start.
He remains right on the fringes of fantasy-starter viability, and could fall out of it if he doesn’t do more on the rushing side (only three carries for 2 yards Sunday). The drama around RGIII isn’t going anywhere just yet.
