Andre Johnson might finally have a capable second in the Houston Texans' receiving game, as he and DeAndre Hopkins combined for a strong performance Sunday. Johnson had 93 yards while Hopkins had 89 and a touchdown in Houston's 17-6 season-opening win over Washington.
Andre Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins 2-headed fantasy monster for Texans
The veteran neared 100 yards while the youngster notched a touchdown in Houston’s win. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson’s production came on a team-leading six receptions and nine targets, while Hopkins caught four balls. His touchdown came on a 76-yard pass late in the second quarter.
Fantasy impact: A single big play like Hopkins had is a double-edged sword for prognosticators. It can be a fluke, and the rest of the player’s production is what to look at, or it can be an integral part of that player’s game, in which case it’s relevant.
Basically, Hopkins’ numbers can be seen as “four catches for 89 yards and a score” or “three catches for 13 yards and a fluke,” depending on your level of optimism. Still, there were reasons for optimism around Hopkins entering the season, and those still exist.
Johnson, meanwhile, is exactly what he was supposed to be -- reliable and productive.
