Steve Smith may be making a case as a favorite target of quarterback Joe Flacco. Smith finished Sunday's game with seven catches for 118 yards and a touchdown. Smith, along with the Ravens offense, was relatively quiet in the first half of the game. Once Flacco started getting into a rhythm, Smith was clearly one of the biggest beneficiaries. He was the leading Ravens wide receiver of the afternoon, with Torrey Smith catches just three passes for 50 yards.
Steve Smith delivers a strong fantasy outing in Week 1
Steve Smith is owned in less than half of fantasy leagues. After his Week 1 performance, his stock is rising.

Fantasy impact: As impressive as Smith's performance was, he's still a bit of a wait-and-see prospect. Flacco played poorly for most of the game. He ended with a career-high 62 passing attempts. Someone was bound to reap the rewards. However, if Smith can come close to repeating his Week 1 performance on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he should be a WR3 with upside in PPR formats. Smith is owned in less than half of fantasy leagues and should be owned in all formats if only as a stash on your bench.
