It appears as though Dennis Pitta continues to move forward as quarterback Joe Flacco's security blanket in 2014. Pitta saw a whopping 15 targets on Sunday. He hauled in 10 catches for 83 yards as a result. Flacco and Pitta started Sunday's game rough. The two just couldn't connect. As the game progressed, Pitta started capitalizing on his targets. He and receiver Steve Smith accounted for 30 of Flacco's 62 passing attempts. Tight end Owen Daniels caught four of his five targets for 34 yards.

Fantasy impact: Owners that drafted Pitta as their TE1 have to feel satisfied with Pitta’s outing despite his inability to find the end zone. He proved to be one of Flacco’s favorite targets to start the season. Daniels saw some work as well, but he doesn’t seem to be a serious threat to Pitta’s overall production so far. Pitta owners will want to consider him an every-week starter moving forward.
