Baltimore Ravens receiver Torrey Smith had a relatively quiet afternoon to start the regular season. Smith was targeted seven times but caught just three passes for 50 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals. His production was partially the result of Joe Flacco's erratic play early in the game. It also didn't help that veteran cornerback Leon Hall kept Smith contained for the majority of the game. Flacco opted to complete higher percentage passes to Steve Smith and Dennis Pitta, who saw a combined 30 targets.

Fantasy impact: While Smith's numbers are a concern, it's important to remember that he's the most reliable deep threat on the Ravens roster. We're hoping that Smith's stat line is a bit of an exception rather than the rule. One thing is for sure: Pitta and Steve Smith made a compelling case for added attention from defenses moving forward. Torrey Smith is still a WR3 in most formats, but his fantasy success will likely hang on his ability to make big plays for the offense.
