In his first game since tearing his ACL last October, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne caught nine passes for 98 yards Sunday night. It was a strong return to form for the 35-year-old in the Colts' 31-24 loss.
Reggie Wayne productive for Colts, fantasy owners in return from injury
The Colts wide receiver nearly reached 100 yards in his first game since his injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Wayne had 503 yards through seven games a year ago when he tore his ACL against the same Denver Broncos, rendering him out for the year. Behind him, wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught five passes for 41 yards, and Hakeem Nicks caught five for 36 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy impact: It made sense to wait and see how Wayne did on his return before totally buying in. And now we’ve seen that he can contribute. He’s a fine flex play going forward.
There were far more questions about Nicks’ abilities to contribute. He’s at least shown he can be a factor in fantasy, even if he doesn’t yet have a place in a starting lineup.
It was Hilton’s game that had to really bother fantasy owners. The Colts receiver had several big games a year ago, mixed with some serious no-shows, but was drafted first among the Colts’ pass catchers in fantasy drafts. His owners need him to start putting up more than four fantasy points a game, or it’ll be a long year.
