If you’re in the daily fantasy sports (DFS) game, you need as many tools as possible to help set your lineup. Sure, there are some things you’ll disagree with, but not acknowledging stats or information is usually a mistake. FanDuel has acquired NumberFire to help on some projections for NFL players for each week to give you another tool to help.
FanDuel Daily Fantasy projections, Week 5: Running backs
Le’Veon Bell didn’t take long to be the best property in fantasy football. We break down the Week 5 projections.

Here are the running back projections for Week 5:
Top tier
No surprises at the top here. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is projected to be the top scorer this week against the San Diego Chargers. Quarterback Michael Vick can’t really get the ball down the field, so expect Bell to get 25 touches and rack up the fantasy points. Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is another big-name guy at the top against the Chicago Bears. After those two, there is a pretty big drop off.
Bargains
St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley busted out against the Arizona Cardinals last week and now gets a favorable matchup against the Green Bay Packers. He’s just $6,700 and should be getting more snaps this week after looking terrific in Week 4. Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is out of control right now and he’s still only $7,600 against Washington. Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin is also worth a look, but he’s a little more risky than the other two.
Elite players with sub-par matchups
New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram is $8,000, but he gets a tough matchup on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. His rushing numbers are much worse on the road even though he's been used a lot in the passing game. Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray had some fumbling issues last week and he might be on thin ice again. Of course, he gets a really bad matchup against the Denver Broncos.
