Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles sustained a Grade 1 AC joint sprain during Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per John Oehser of jaguars.com.
Blake Bortles has AC joint sprain, per report, fantasy status murky
The Jaguars could be without their starting quarterback on Sunday when a division rival lines up across from them. We break down the fantasy implications.

Oehser added that Bortles' status will be updated later in the week. The Jaguars do not have to submit an injury report until Wednesday, which is likely when more information will be present. If Bortles cannot start on Sunday, Chad Henne is slated to get the nod instead against a struggling Houston Texans defense. With a divisional game upcoming, it can be safe to assume the Jaguars will do everything possible to get their young quarterback under center.
Fantasy impact: Despite recent gaudy totals from Bortles, he hasn't been on the fantasy radar as anything but a backup, and this injury further hurts his status in the short-term. Chad Henne is capable of managing games, but his presence would not be a welcome one for owners of Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns or Julius Thomas.
A different quarterback can change the entire scope of an offense, and despite the Jaguars’ recent strides, the fantasy value of the aforementioned skill players would be downgraded. Henne would not be on the fantasy radar if Bortles can’t play, and any fantasy owner with stock in the Jaguars offense needs to be glued to the injury reports all week.
