New York Giants wide receiver Rueben Randle returned to practice on Thursday, according to The Record's Art Stapleton.
Rueben Randle practices Thursday, presents fantasy upside if Odell Beckham sits Week 6
The Giants still haven’t welcomed Odell Beckham back to practice, but will get Rueben Randle in action. We break down the fantasy implications.
Randle injured his hamstring on Sunday night vs. the San Francisco 49ers and did not return. However, returning to the team's first practice of the week at any capacity bodes well for his status on Monday night.
With Odell Beckham uncertain for Week 6, the Giants will need all hands on-deck to compensate when they square off with their foes, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy impact: Unlike Beckham, Randle is off to a good start if he is going to take the field. In the event he does, and if Beckham sits, Randle enters the WR2 conversation with considerable upside.
If Beckham doesn't return to practice before Saturday, Eli Manning will be expected to utilize Randle, Larry Donnell, Dwayne Harris and Shane Vereen to a fuller extent than in weeks past.
The jury is still out on whether Randle has a big week ahead of him, and it largely depends on Beckham’s availability. In the meantime, injury reports should be close by for any owner with stock in the Giants offense.
