Ben Roethlisberger participates in limited practice on Thursday, still a long shot to start for fantasy owners
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger participated in practice on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Fortunately for the Steelers, Roethlisberger left that game with a lead and the team was able to hang on for the victory. Since that time veteran backup Michael Vick has looked shaky at best. He managed to do just enough to help the Steelers beat the San Diego Chargers last week, but overall he’s killed the fantasy value of the team’s wide receivers.
For example, Antonio Brown, typically one of the game’s top fantasy options, has just 87 receiving yards in two games combined with Vick as the starter. Vick has certainly been way too conservative in the passing game so it’s safe to say that fantasy owners can’t wait for Roethlisberger to get back. The offense is struggling overall.
It’s a long shot that Roethlisberger plays against the Cardinals in Week 6. Fantasy owners would be smart to avoid any Steelers not named Le’Veon Bell this week, particularly in smaller leagues.
