Injuries can change a lot of things in fantasy football. That's especially true when it's a top-five pick and when it's a season-ending injury. Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is out for the season, so now the Chiefs are in trouble for the time being.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 6: Hot pickup Charcandrick West gets chance
Charcandrick West was the hottest pickup in fantasy this week. Should he be starting this week, though?
Well, now it's up to running back Charcandrick West. He is expected to get most of the carries going forward, but he is going to have to earn them. Running back Knile Davis hasn't really played much this season after he graded out as one of the worst backs in football last season.
West gets a so-so matchup this week against the Minnesota Vikings, who are the 15th-toughest matchup against fantasy backs. The Chiefs really count on their backs, so there should be 15 touches for West. Plus, the Vikings can't score, so the Chiefs should run the ball a lot in the fourth.
Fantasy impact: He is a touch risky this week, so he’s more of a flex. Of course, he should be owned in all leagues.
