Philadelphia Eagles receiver Jordan Matthews had some really bad drops last week. He continues to be one of the biggest letdowns of the year, with just one touchdown on the season and no games over 80 yards since Week 1.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 6: Jordan Matthews has the drops right now
Jordan Matthews is dropping a lot of passes. Should fantasy owners still start him?
It gets better, though. Receiver Nelson Agholor is banged up, so the Eagles will be a little thin at receiver. Plus, they get a nice matchup against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. While the Giants have made some big improvements against defending receivers since Week 2, keep in mind they have played Washington, the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers in that span. Not exactly the Green Bay Packers, right?
Fantasy impact: Matthews was probably drafted as a WR15 or higher for you, but he’s not a WR2 just yet. That could be coming in short order in a high-scoring game on Monday. Start Matthews as a solid WR2.
