The Kansas City Chiefs have been by far the worst team when it comes to getting output from their receivers in the past couple seasons. None of their receivers scored last season and they're one of the worst groups yet again in 2015.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 6: Jeremy Maclin could get some targets
The Kansas City Chiefs have been easy targets for their awful output with receivers. Should fantasy owners start Jeremy Maclin?
However, receiver Jeremy Maclin has been carrying the Chiefs by himself. In his last three games, he's totaled 27 catches, 374 yards and one score. If you're in a PPR league, he's been a top-10 guy and he's been as elite as it gets in that three-game span.
This week, Maclin gets a mediocre matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings didn't allow touchdowns to wide receivers against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 or the Denver Broncos in Week 4. Of course, in the case of the 49ers game, some of that had to do with the Vikings being blown out.
Fantasy impact: Maclin is just too good to bench right now. He should be viewed as a high-end WR2 in standards or a low-end WR1 PPR option.
